What is this site?
It is an independent navigation and analysis layer over official Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney parliamentary records. Each member, proposition and report should link back to the primary source so readers can check the record for themselves.
Is a snapshot the same as a live register?
No. Membership is checked by the scheduled build and published with a snapshot date. A source outage retains the last complete verified snapshot; it does not create a current claim without a date.
Why is there no promise-kept score?
Manifesto topics help readers find the official statements, but topic overlap does not prove that a particular vote delivered or broke a promise. A defensible comparison needs a clear directional pledge, a directly relevant proposition and a documented interpretation. The tracker therefore leaves that judgement out.
Why is there no speaking-activity or attendance ranking?
Public records differ by legislature and publication system. Missing speeches, committee attendance or non-recorded choices are not evidence of inactivity. The site publishes available records and their gaps instead of converting uneven coverage into a leaderboard.
Why do some downloads contain Jersey records only?
The Jersey vote extract is the only public download with a verified reuse licence. Other island sources are linked and attributed for civic reporting, but their terms do not provide one shared commercial open-data licence. See Method & licences.
Why is an archive gap shown?
Absence from a source, a missing manifesto or an unparseable page is recorded as a gap. It must not be presented as proof that an event, vote, person or promise did not exist.
Can I reuse a portrait or manifesto?
Not automatically. The tracker links to official election material and identifies its source, but third-party rights remain with the relevant authority, candidate or rights holder. Check the source terms before copying or redistributing it.
How do I challenge a record?
Start with the official source link on the affected page. Note the page URL, the snapshot date, the exact field or statement that appears wrong, and the authoritative replacement evidence. The corrections guide explains the minimum evidence needed for a safe update.
